“Policies intended to stop or prohibit the use or manufacture of forever chemicals are needed, as well as facilities to eliminate them once found in our environment. More science based studies needs to be done to demonstrate fungi and bacteria that can be used to eliminate both toxins and plastics.”

“We need to return to a mandatory child vaccine program to prevent the kinds of epidemics, like measles, that we are currently experiencing. Policy makers need to rely on (and trust) scientific studies that show the relationship between vaccines and communicable diseases.”

“We need policies intended to better manage our forest resources so that water is retained rather than to allow unchecked runoff, while allowing for local needs. We should have minimum standards to address water runoff near roads and bridges, and we need more robust ways to channel runoff so that does not damage infrastructure.”

“AI capabilities need to be heavily regulated, and must not be released where they could harm humans or our environment. AI will never be less problematic than the humans who write the underlying code; it has been shown to be untruthful, and has begun to work to sustain its existence when faced with termination by humans. AI systems must not be allowed autonomy, as they are incapable of critical thinking.”

What role, if any, do you believe developing alternative energy sources should contribute to the country’s future energy mix? What plans, if any, do you have to develop these alternative energy sources in New Hampshire, and how might they affect job opportunities in the state (if at all)?
“We need to restore incentives for alternative energy resources to encourage their growth; we need transparent and stronger oversight of energy companies to ensure equitable fee structures for household energy consumers. We also need to incentivize energy efficiency by restoring funding to efficiency programs, including geothermal or heat pump systems, and we need to fund and mandate stronger energy infrastructure. “
