Q1 What advisory mechanisms will you implement to ensure that evidence and scientific findings play a crucial role in your policymaking process?

Policymaking Process

“My advice for all policy decisions would be to rely only on evidence gathered using rigorous scientific methods.”

Q2 Colorado farmers are facing multiple threats, amidst water scarcity and rising prices for fertilizer and other imported materials. As agriculture is our #1 export sector, in what ways do you imagine using your role to support evidence-based advancements to protect and support our farmers and natural resources in the years ahead?

AgricultureEnvironment

“I appreciate the challenges facing Colorado farmers and would do everything possible to be sure the federal government doesn’t nothing to restrict them or inhibit them from their business practices. I believe strongly that freely pursued innovation will support our farmer’s business and government should not get in the way!”

Q3 America has a growing AI industry, supporting cutting-edge innovation but raising issues of resource use, privacy, and economics. What is the right balance of costs and benefits for new data center construction in Colorado, and how would your policies accomplish that balance?

Artificial IntelligenceEnvironment

“Any business including AI has to responsibly provide for the resources like water and power they need. I thing local governments have the responsibility to ensure that happens, not at the federal level.”

Q4 Colorado has experienced a lingering measles outbreak since March of 2025. What evidence-based policies do you support to improve community and preventive health for your constituents, for infectious diseases and other threats?

Public Health

“I believe parents have the right and the responsibility to decide the kind of health care their children receive which would include not inoculating a child with the measles vaccine.

However as measles is a significant public health danger; any group such as a school or church or business has the right to exclude unvaccinated children to protect the other children in that group.”

Q5 What are your opinions on the current state of science literacy, and how could K-12 education standards be adapted to form a better public understanding of and relationship building in science?

K-12 Science EducationTrust in Science

“I think the average person’s scientific literacy is extremely limited in scope and their decision making is based more on emotions, what other people think and unfortunately is seldom based on logic.

Government-run K-12 systems enforce rigid conformity, waste taxpayer funds, suffer from a lack of performance-based accountability, and fail to adapt to individual student needs.”
